"La Oveja Negra" has its beginnings in 1945, when Mrs. Abigail Martinez founded the restaurant "Las delicias" in the city of Tulancingo, Hidalgo.
She acquired "El Jonuco" to expand her market in the same city, and in 1969, she began operating "La Oveja Negra" in Mexico City, becoming the first restaurant in Tulancingo specializing in barbacoa. Since then, our restaurant has grown and gained renown for the traditional preparation of barbacoa, thanks to the high quality of our products.
We contribute to the development of processes in sheep farming, closely monitoring the entire meat chain, from the feeding of the livestock, which is 100% natural, that is, free of any type of anabolic steroids, to the production of our products.
Today, our company has a balanced feed plant, a percentage of which is destined for the "La Oveja Negra" ranch, where the specimens are classified according to their breed, weight and size, to be destined for restaurants or our fine cuts packing plant.
Now, "La Oveja Negra" is firmly established with three restaurants in Mexico City to better serve customers like you. "La Oveja Negra" offers packages for parties and meetings, as well as waitstaff service.
